Rebound on the Road Celebrates Largest Graduation Class Yet at NCC

June 8, 2026, Garden City, NY – Rebound on the Road—a program founded by former professional basketball player Jayson Williams in partnership with ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï and Nassau County—celebrated its largest graduating class to date on June 6 at Nassau Community College.

Thirty students successfully completed the program, marking the largest cohort in Rebound on the Road's history. Graduates earned their Commercial Driver's Licenses (CDLs) and are prepared to begin careers in the trucking and transportation industry.

Rebound on the Road helps individuals recovering from substance abuse and those reentering society after incarceration gain the skills, credentials, and employment opportunities needed to build successful futures. The program is founded on the belief that meaningful employment provides hope, stability, self-esteem, and a pathway to lasting personal transformation.

During the intensive eight-week program, participants complete a guided rehabilitation and workforce development curriculum that includes training to operate tractor-trailers. Upon successful completion, graduates earn their Commercial Driver's Licenses and are connected with employment opportunities in the industry. Participants then complete an extended period of supervised driving before becoming fully certified professional drivers.

ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï is proud to serve as the educational home of the Rebound on the Road program and to support initiatives that create pathways to employment, personal growth, and long-term success for members of the community.
